Toothache?
To ease pain until you can see a dentist.....

1.  Floss and brush!
Don't assume that a cavity is to blame:  "Small bits of food, such as popcorn kernels, wedged between the teeth, can irritate the gums and cause a toothache-like sensation,"  Floss well, then brush gently for two minutes to remove any debris.

2.  Rinse!
Swish with 50/50 mix of 3% hydrogen peroxide and water for 30 seconds to safely kill any gum or nerve irritating bacteria.  Next, swish with a soothing mix of 1 tsp. salt and 8 oz. of warm water.

3.  Try clove oil.
Tooth still hurts? For quick pain relief, "apply clove oil (sold in health-food stores) or an over-the-counter pain reliever with benzocaine (such as Anbesol) to the affected tooth and gum surrounding it."

4. Pop ibuprofen!
For long-lasting relief -- and to reduce any inflammation in your tooth or gum - take 400 mg. - 600 mg. every six hours.
